Need grass quick?
For a rapid erosion fix, more and more property managers are turning to hydroseeding.
A slurry of seeds, fertilizer, mulch and water are sprayed onto the exposed earth. The mulch provides a barrier to protect the seed from the elements, decomposing gradually as the lush carpet of lawn spreads. Within 5-7 days the grass germinates, and in a few weeks the grass is mower-ready.
Within 5-7 days
The grass BEGINS TO germinate WITH PROPER MOISTURE
First 21 Days
Water frequently, keeping the hydroseed mix moist at all times.
After Germination
Water 3 times a day: morning, noon and mid afternoon.
After Even Growth
Water once a day early in the morning. Avoid overwatering, as this can encourage fungal growth.
4-6 Weeks
Mow with sharp blades when the grass is dry, taking off less than 1/3 of the blades of grass.
After 2nd or 3rd Mowing
Apply a fertilizer with high nitrogen content. This promotes green growth, root development and cell division.
